Reflection

Despite the lack of time, our teacher in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) managed to discuss our lessons for the Second Quarter - smoothly and briefly. We were able to finish the topics in a short span of time. On how consistent our teacher is, I have no doubt on how strategic she is as a teacher.

Our topics this quarter were more interesting that the topics from the previous quarter. I was able to gain knowledge about Internet Access, Parts of the Web Browser and HTML. At least I won't be too ignorant if ever someone would ask me such.

If I would choose among the topics, HTML caught my interest the most. Doing our activities regarding HTML was as easy as understanding the topic. Hopefully, our lessons next quarter would be as interesting as this topic.

When Life Changes for You

The value of time is known to those who value the moments each year. Little by little, time slows down as we think about the year that had gone past. Every year that had gone by has become history and a future is yet to come. 2018 already came to an end and although I welcomed this year with a heavy heart within me, I believe that I still have the rest of the year to have the happiness and peace of mind I know I deserve. As they say, New Year beckons us to change. New Year means new hope in life. New Year brings some new strive, but amidst the new things, there is a strange happiness within -- of all the things so special, of all the things as seen. Life changes in a fraction and things turn old. This year, I'm letting go of the things that are old. The old is going so I must let go. I’ll try to be at my toes even when I need to strive. I’ll try to be happy all the while and listen to what my heart speaks as well as what my mind dictates. I’ll walk past my tears ...

Bleed -- Rebuild After

Life does not always revolve rainbows and unicorns. Sometimes, we bleed too hard to the extent that we are scared to be happy as we think that happiness means falling after. Truth is, we fall and continue to go with the flow of life. To which overcoming natural hazards is connected.      As we all know, natural disasters can't be prevented but its immense effect can be lessened. One way to reduce the impacts of disasters on the nation and its communities is to invest in enhancing resilience. Preparation before, resilience after.  As defined, resilience is the ability to prepare and plan for, absorb, recover from, and more successfully adapt to adverse events. Adjusting and recovering will take time but the important thing is being able to fully rebuild our homes, as well as our lives.      Despite tragic events that destroyed people's livelihoods, we can still manage to smile because losing something doesn't mean approaching the...
